Addition of January 11, 2011 Examination Day Counted Toward the 180 Session Day Requirement
January 11, 2010 was added to the January 2011 Regents Examinations and Regents Competency Tests examination schedule. See P-12 Office web postings:

The additional January exam date increases the maximum number of exam days to be counted toward the 180 session days during the 2010-11 school year. Therefore, a maximum of 13 Regents Examination days (5 maximum in January 2011 and 8 maximum in June 2011) will be allowed in the 2011-12 SAMS Form A claim schedules due September 2011.
Furthermore, it is expected that for the 2011-12 School Year, the maximum Regents Examination days will return to 12 days (4 maximum in January 2012 and 8 maximum in June 2012). Please consider the above when making your 2011-12 school year calendar.
