Three Year Enrollment Summary Report

The Three Year Enrollment Summary Report is now available. The report can be accessed via the Information and Reporting Services Portal (IRSP – http://portal.nysed.gov).  It displays 2015 BEDS Day enrollment and free/reduced price lunch-eligible counts, and includes counts for two prior years for comparison purposes. The counts are aggregated from the individual student data reported by your district via SED’s SIRS system and will be transferred to the State Aid Office for use in your district’s State Aid calculations and projections. The report also contains data for a few enrollment items still reported via the BEDS Online system.

Your district’s State Aid is impacted by these counts. Therefore, it is critical that you review the 2015 counts on the Three Year Enrollment Summary report for accuracy, and ensure that any inaccurate data is revised.

Information on accessing and using the IRSP can be found at http://www.p12.nysed.gov/irs/irs-portal/. (Reports for New York City districts will be distributed via secure ftp.)  Please contact your district’s Data Coordinator to facilitate any necessary revisions to SIRS data.

Nonpublic and charter school enrollment data is reported to SED by those schools. If those counts are incorrect, you may view associated school-level enrollment reports available via the IRS Portal to determine which schools may have reported incorrectly. Please contact the school’s Data Coordinator to request that they revise SIRS (for charter schools) or BEDS Online (for nonpublic schools).

Please note that only 2015 BEDS Day data may be revised. Prior years are displayed on the Three Year Summary Report for comparison purposes but are no longer subject to change. If assistance is needed to facilitate data changes, please contact Ellen Martin in the Office of Information Reporting Services (IRS) by email Ellen.Martin@nysed.gov or by phone (518) 474-7965.
