2008-2009 Definition of Charter School Data and Calculations

2008-09 charter school tuition per pupil equals the product of the school district's 2006-07 approved operating expense per pupil (AOE/TAPU) multiplied by the percentage increase between the 2007-08 statewide total approved operating expense and the 2005-06 statewide total approved operating expense(117.6%).

The final per pupil charter school tuition for each district is calculated based on data on file with the commissioner as of the date upon which an electronic data file was created for the purpose of compliance with paragraph b of subdivision twenty-one of section three hundred five of the New York State Education Law on May 15, 2008.
