Updating School District and BOCES SAMS State Aid Data for 2018-19 Aid and 2019-20 Projections
On May 15th, SED provides the Executive and the Legislature with another set of 2018-19 and 2019-20 aid estimates. In addition to providing the Executive and the Legislature with updated projections, the May 15th frozen file also determines 2018-19 June State Aid payment amounts.
School districts and BOCES are requested to review and update their SAMS claim year and projection data. Please remember to re-run the edit report(s), address any new edits, and then press "Submit Changes" so that your revisions can be processed. Feel free to contact the State Aid Office (518-474-2977) with any questions regarding SAMS revision processing. If you plan to revise your SAMS claim and/or projection data, please do so by Friday, April 12th.
Reminder: SAMS is a "live" system. As soon as revised SAMS data enters the SAMS database, all affected State Aid output reports reflect those revisions and can be viewed from inside SAMS. Updated output reports are available via the public web site the next day.
Districts are also reminded to review the Three Year Enrollment Summary report in the Student Information Repository System (SIRS) to ensure the accuracy of 2018 BEDS/SIRS data used for State Aid purposes and, if necessary, to revise this data before the file is closed this summer.
