Updating School District and BOCES SAMS State
Aid Data
for 2015-16 Aid and 2016-17 Projections
On May 15th, SED provides the Executive and the Legislature with another set of 2015-16 and 2016-17 aid estimates. In addition to providing the Executive and the Legislature with updated projections, the May 15th frozen file also determines 2015-16 June State Aid payment amounts.
Therefore, it is helpful for planning purposes for everyone to have access to the most up-to-date information available. To this end, school districts and BOCES are requested to review and update their SAMS claim year and projection data.
If you plan to revise your SAMS claim and/or projection data, please do so by Friday, April 15th.
Reminder: SAMS is a "live" system. As soon as revised SAMS data enters the SAMS database, all affected State Aid output reports reflect those revisions and can be viewed from inside SAMS. Updated output reports are available via the public web site the next day. Please remember to re-run the edit report(s) and press "Submit Changes" so that our office can process your revisions.
