Download the Annual Financial Report (Form ST-3) for all New York State Public Schools
You will be downloading a self-extracting ZIP file with an .exe extension. After the file has been downloaded double-click on the file name in Windows Explorer to unzip it to a directory of your choice. If you have any questions, please call (518) 474-2977 or email OMSSAMS@nysed.gov.
Warning - if you are not familiar with using this information in the format provided, please be careful to read the instructions contained in the self extracting zip files (and on this page). Especially important is the information about "Internal template numbers" which DO NOT correspond to line numbers on the printed ST-3 (in many cases). Please also review the word document explaining the changes year to year.
DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
- Create a folder on your C:\ drive or any other hard drive
(ex. C:\st3_0001 for year ending June 01)
- Place your mouse cursor over the appropriate year in the list below and RIGHT-click
- Move your cursor to "Save target as..." and left click
- Save the file to the folder you created
- From your Windows Desktop, move your cursor over the "START" button in the lower left corner, right-click, then left-click on "Explore"
- Open the folder you created by left-clicking on it in the Windows Explore
- Find the file in the file list in the right pane of the Explore window and double-click on it
- Change the "Unzip to..." path to the folder you created and click on "Unzip"
Very Important: Make sure you create a SEPARATE st3_xxxx folder (xxxx=appropriate year) for each st3_xxxx.exe file.
If these instructions do not make sense to you, get some help from a colleague who has experience downloading and unzipping ZIP files.
